Continuous PUR Hot Melt Adhesive Laminating Machine

    Product Overview

The Continuous PUR Hot Melt Adhesive Laminating Machine is an industrial-grade equipment developed for high-volume, high-efficiency lamination production. The machine uses a roller-type continuous coating and lamination process, applying PUR hot melt adhesive onto the substrate surface with precisely controlled coating weight, then continuously bonding with one or more additional layers under pressure, achieving roll-to-roll automated mass production.

PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) hot melt adhesive is a high-performance, environmentally friendly adhesive that cures through an irreversible chemical cross-linking reaction upon contact with ambient moisture. It offers high bonding strength, excellent temperature and weather resistance, superior flexibility, and solvent-free environmental friendliness. The continuous design enables long-term stable operation, making it suitable for large-volume production orders.

    Working Principle

The working process of the continuous PUR hot melt adhesive laminating machine is as follows:

    1. Melting and Adhesive Supply: PUR adhesive is heated to the set temperature (typically 120-150°C) in a closed melting tank and conveyed through heated hoses to the coating head. The entire adhesive supply system is sealed to prevent moisture ingress and premature curing.

    2. Coating: The adhesive is uniformly applied onto the first substrate surface through a precision coating head. Coating methods include roller coating, slot die coating, or spray coating, with precise control of coating weight.

    3. Lamination: The coated substrate meets the second (or more) substrate at the laminating roller set and is pressed together under set pressure.

    4. Cooling and Curing: The laminated composite passes through cooling rollers or natural cooling for initial adhesive setting. During and after rewinding, the adhesive continues to react with ambient moisture, reaching full cure within 24-72 hours.

    Key Features

    01

    Continuous High-Efficiency Production
The machine operates in a roll-to-roll continuous manner with production speeds of 10-60 meters per minute, suitable for large-volume, long-length production orders. The machine can run continuously for 24 hours, effectively increasing production capacity and reducing unit costs.

    02

    PUR Adhesive-Specific Design
Due to the moisture sensitivity of PUR adhesive, the machine features a fully enclosed adhesive supply system, including sealed melting tank, heated insulated hoses, and moisture-protected coating head, ensuring the adhesive does not contact moisture before application, preventing premature curing.

    03

    Precision Coating Control
Equipped with a high-precision coating system, coating weight can be precisely adjusted within 2-50 g/m², with coating uniformity error less than ±5%. Roller coating, slot die coating, or spray coating methods can be selected based on product requirements.

    04

    Wide Width Adaptability
Working width can be customized according to customer requirements, with common specifications from 800mm to 2500mm, and up to 5000mm maximum, meeting various width material lamination needs.

    05

    Multiple Substrate Compatibility
Suitable for various flexible roll materials including textiles, non-woven fabrics, foam, leather, films, paper, aluminum foil, fiberglass fabric, and more. Two or more layers can be laminated in a single pass.

    06

    Intelligent Control System
Equipped with PLC control system and touchscreen HMI, allowing setting and monitoring of parameters such as temperature, speed, tension, and coating weight. Multiple process recipes can be stored and recalled with one-button operation.

    07

    Precise Tension Control
Each unwinding and rewinding unit features independent tension control, ensuring materials remain flat without stretching or wrinkling during operation, particularly suitable for tension-sensitive lightweight materials.

    08

    Environmentally Friendly Solvent-Free
PUR adhesive contains no organic solvents, with no VOC emissions during use, eliminating the need for solvent recovery systems, complying with environmental regulations, and providing a safe working environment for operators.
